First some community announcements.  It's the year of Cabot and in honor of the Great 
Genoese explorer Giovanni Caboto, the Newfoundland Chapter of The Friends of Garibaldi 
invites everyone to celebrate all that is Italian in our island home.  This afternoon 
the Vanier 12th Girl Guide Troupe will be whipping up a giant Zabaglione in the parking 
of Vanier Elementary.  Tonight The Jay Cees have a Cosa Nostra Costume Ball ... and that 
will be held at the Star of Palestine Hall.  Tickets are 12 dollars at the door.
