WEARING THE WIRE -- ECONOMOLOGY PROMO

MUSIC:	RACHMANINOFF, ISLE OF THE DEAD

JEROME:	Economology:  is it really just a fiscal self-help movement?  
	This week on “Wearing the Wire”, join me, Jerome Granger for a special 
	investigative report: On The Dark Side of Economology.

SFX:	A large hollow chamber, rain beating down on skylight, perhaps some 
	thunder;  5 or 6 men around an operating table.  Surgery room respirator and 
	heart monitor.  SOUNDS OF SLURPY BRAIN MATTER BEING SLICED, 
	ETC.

DR. 2:	You can’t play God.

DR. 1:	We’ll know that in a moment.  Money supply?

DR. 2:	Good.

DR. 1:	Budget?

DR. 2:	There’s a problem, it’s too high.

DR. 1:	Quick man, cut back!  cut back!  Reduce the cbc!

DR. 2:	Reducing.

SFX:	SLICING.

DR. 1:	The transplant is stabilised.

DR. 2:	Some extra billing ...

SFX:	cash register rings

DR. 2:	Adrenaline injection ... and shock adjustment.

SFX:	Electrical jolt a la Frankenstein.

MONSTER:	(rushing up from the dead sounds)

COLLECTIVE GASPS

DR. 2:	Gentlemen, I give you ... 

MONSTER:	(Beastly howl)

DR. 2:	... the new and improved Barbara Frum (maniacal 
	laughter)
 
JEROME:	That’s the Dark Side of Economology, this Thursday at 9:00 on

DR. 2:	They thought you were a liberal, but they were wrong!  
	Wrong I say!
