A gift for Julie

This week: Paul gives Julie a beloved memento from his days at the Broadcasting Corporation of Newfoundland -- his BCN Coal Stokers and Tube Engineers Bolwing League jacket. On the next Sunny Days and Nights, Saturday, August 28, 2004.

Squirrels in the Committee Room

The latest piece by controversial taxidermist Gary Lennox, a founder and prime mover of the Canon '99 taxidermy movement. "We reject the very concept of the trophy...or triumphalism. We oppose absolutely the mount.... The work we do is an expression of the animal stuffed." Paul interviewed Gary on the August 21 edition of Sunny Days and Nights.

The Old Mothball

Many listeners have inquired about Paul's brief stint as a short reliever in the Pacific League in the 70's. From the archives, we bring you this publicity photo...

Julie Secord

Some listeners have wondered what happened to the photo of associate producer/technician Julie Secord. Why, it's here, of course.

Paul Moth replaces Frank Day on Sunny Days and Nights

It is with great regret that CBNR announces the sudden departure of beloved radio personality Frank "Sunny" Day and his replacement, on an interim basis, by Paul Moth.

An unexpected legal matter precipitated Mr. Day's abrupt and unexpected exit from the post he has held for the last 25 years. Mr. Day, twice named 100 Lakes Man of Year, remains at large.

Paul Moth was the long time host of The Great Eastern, a cultural magazine carried by Newfoundland's public broadcaster BCN, until last year.
