Kathleen Hanrahan
KATHLEEN HANRAHAN is a popular author and critic, as well as a leading biblioactivist. After returning from a stint in Toronto in 1988, she ran the public library’s Bookmobile programme for many years. She currently serves as a member of the boards of the Writer’s Confederacy, the Public Alliance for Letters, the School Board Books Review Board, and the local chapter of INK. Two of her novels, The Interior Decorator (1991) and Bourgeois Affectations (1993) critically-acclaimed best-sellers.
After years of radio popularity as the book critic for The Great Eastern, Kathleen Hanrahan offers BCN listeners her own show this fall. Her Nibs will go where no literary show has gone before, interviewing blocked writers, desk top publishers, comic book dealers, pornography collectors, on-line librarians, illiterate readers — whatever it takes to keep you in touch with today’s threatened page.
